Spacious room layout with a balcony overlooking the pool offers some nice views. Clean laminate flooring adds a more hygienic feel compared to carpets, making it easier to maintain.
The bathroom in room 203 had a persistent unpleasant sewer smell, particularly noticeable when using water. Breakfast choices lean heavily on cheap cereals with limited variety, and the 7:30 am start time might not suit early risers. Heightened noise from repeative jazz music on the terrace became a nuisance, especially when seeking some quiet time. Remember, no smoking is allowed on the balcony due to proximity to adjacent rooms.

A quiet retreat near the city
The location was perfect for exploring Funchal, with easy access to local attractions. The spacious room and friendly staff made for a pleasant stay. Waking up to the soft sounds of the pool was a delight.
I did encounter a lingering sewer smell in the bathroom, which was quite off-putting. the breakfast options were basic and lacked fresh bread, which could use improvement for a complete start to the day.
